About

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek." Brené Brown

We all reach points in life where we don’t know what the next step is, and let’s be honest, with past experiences of missteps, uncertainty can be downright scary. Previously, you may have used certain coping strategies or learned skills to navigate hard times, but this time around, those things may not be helping. While some of us were taught that asking for help is one of the best ways to grow, many of us were raised with the belief that it is weak or shameful. Some of you may come from families that reject even the topic of therapy. But I’m here to tell you that starting therapy might just be one of the bravest decisions you ever make. Therapy can be wonderful, and it can also be a lot of hard work. You might face some of the more uncomfortable things about yourself and your life, but you won’t have to face those things alone. I believe that each individual is capable of growth. My therapeutic goal is to meet people wherever they're at and to walk alongside them in their journey. I seek to provide an open, safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore and process life experiences, inner struggles and future dreams. Together we can work on: • Healing past abuse and trauma • Exploring old habits and engaging in necessary unlearning and replacing • Relieving the weight of unforgiveness for self and others • Increasing self-confidence and self-love • Learning healthy boundaries and expectations for relationships • Developing communication skills for a multitude of settings I have a Masters in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I am committed to helping adults of all ages. I specialize in working with those who have a history of trauma and abuse. I am trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I also provide services for those struggling with depression/anxiety, parent-adolescent relationship issues, interpersonal issues, Autism/Asperger’s, identity/confidence issues, and life in transition issues.
